The Kokosing Lake Campground, operated by Fredericktown Recreation District, is located is about 15 minutes north of Mount Vernon and just west of Fredericktown, Ohio on Waterford Road. The campground offers 46 sites, partial and primitive hookup RV, tent camping, a large picnic area, playground, and a two-lane boat ramp. Most of the sites have electricity available. A shower house with flush toilets, ice, bait, snacks, and firewood are available at the campground headquarters. Wildlife is abundant, and the 185-acre lake offers some great fishing. Hunters are also permitted during season.
We camped here a few times this year and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and checked in on us when we stayed to make sure we were happy with our site and having a nice time. The sites are large and the view is beautiful.
I have never camped before. Let alone, seasonal camp. This place is amazing ! Becky and Tammy are wonderful and very helpful. They treat my 10 year old autistic grandson like their own. I retired from a very stressful job of 36 years, and have never relaxed like that after only one week here. The activities are so much fun for all ages. Yes it floods, but rarely and everyone helps each other no matter what ! I have gained a new family here at the campground and feeling sad that there are only 2 months left
Camped there last season and can't wait to go back. The lake is beautiful, Great for canoeing and kayaking. Very clean and the people are very nice.
Lovely campground! It is quiet and relaxing. Our family enjoys our time here and the staff is always accommodating. The shower house facilities are clean and the scenery is beautiful. Highly recommend!!
Great place to camp, hike, kayak, and fish. Very friendly place, clean facilities and beautiful scenery!ndae.
